The most salty tears are those shed on who don’t deserve them

I cry,
Each tear rolls down my cheek
And I taste it on my lip.

Salty,
The taste of a thousand impurities
And thoughts of you.

Memories,
A swirl of neutral emotion
Behind a floodgate of resentment.

Anger,
As the floodgate opens wide
And I am washed away.

Sadness,
As I rewind your leaving
And undo the pain.

I cry,
The saltiest tears I could shed
Although they are undeserved.

This was such a sad write, full of imagery and took the prompt to another level. I enjoyed reading this so much. Thanks for entering.
