What we had,
is finally done.
No more dragging it out,
hoping that there might still be a chance,
someday.
But I'm telling you now,
There isn't.
We will never be "one" again.
You say you've changed,
that you've grown up,
matured,
that you're ready to be serious.
Well, it's too late.
I waited,
gave it three years,
but everything had to be about you.
I needed someone that would give and take with me.
So I moved on.
Maybe someday you will too.
I hope that you really have changed
and maybe you'll be able to make someone happy enough to stay.
But that person won't be me.
