Once it's all done and the foods prepared
I love it all, friends, family to share
contented faces eating their fill
I'm happy I've managed to fit it all in,
there really does seem such a lot
you start to wonder how many hours you've got..
But then my thoughts lead me back
speeding hours, days, years drop away
and I'm a young girl, excitedly watching,
partaking in joy and kindly love tasted
this feeds my spirit and it starts to fly
gatherings at my Grandfathers
answers any questions of 'why'
yesterday, tomorrow and today
Loves warm glow of the heart
as bright as any star
so I'll make a fervent wish for liberty
for all men to be free in peace and harmony
when all the world can be indeed one happy family

I quickly brainstormed and penned some thoughts from my heart
