Cure

After the blanket
riddled with diamond planets
have dressed the blue black caress up high
Served as mock strap sedatives
and I come back to life
It’s plain to see something
has gone wrong
Something has up rooted
Perhaps go dig for plurals
but I would rather shoot it
than face up to what has unearthed

Stop being co-dependent upon despair
Favoring me first
In this become a leader
Get something moving in there
Where I’m standing now
Is not the time to sit still
Lord stay close
Wait for a heart amongst willing flesh
beating pure
You’ve got the medicine
and you know that it’s sure

There is nothing fake I can
use to disguise my behind with
Am I fit to administer your plans
Carrier of your message
Knocking down the barricade
of deaths door
Well beneath you
You don’t have to worry
I done took my lesson
Still weak enough to be lured
Your prophetess taught me how
to desist and abound
She has been faithful and
has stood her ground
My strained voice
many have listened
loose their stride and become strays
Making it back from the desolation
of Dafur
Your strength is my only chance of
a house
and I know that you are sure

Deliver me of giving only to myself
Deliver me from the ignorance of
bass ackwards hopes
Deliver me from the ties of my own
ropes

You know I’m a waning mess
but I know you can bless me if only
you wanted to
Cover me in picking up thee slothful shoes
Deal with the truths
Coming home to roost
Price for being foolish
I know what I’m supposed to do
Don’t leave me to disappear in obscurity
For negligence a cost I will
pay for the cure
but you know who I really am and
your aim is sure
