Christmas Came Early

Christmas came early two years ago
 I know you tried to hurry,
But for a lady that wouldn't do.
Now just look at what all you can do.
With those pretty eyes,
What the say and do.
Your getting so big, and I love you.

The little sounds you can now make.
You make our hearts shake.
The precious little body of yours.
Ten little fingers and toes.
I love those cheeks and that precious nose.
The way you hug us and say good night
It is hard to let you out of sight.

So now it is Happy Birthday again little dear
A squeeze and a hug and a kiss from each to you
You are so lucky, and everyone just loves you.
Babies are sweet, as sweet as can be.
Everyone wants a turn, to play with you.
Now I know it has been a busy day.
Babies can't always play when sleep calls them my dear.
