Hang the snowman by his neck
hang him till he's dead
hibernate for winter
spend three months in bed.
Icicles hang from my nose
my big toe just turned black
I think I may have frost bite !
Summer please come back.
Heating bills, the costs went up
my bank accounts gone red
I'll move to the equator
and burn to death instead.
I think I found the answer
I've conquered the big freeze
my hands and feet feel lovely
I'm burning christmas trees.

This is filled with fun and memorable lines!
The extremes you note make your point well!

I think this is one of the best "off the cuff" poems I've ever read about winter. It is absolutely great. Best of luck in the contest.

I am soo laughing out loud
the ending is great,
I am not a fan of winter
God bless you...

this is funny!!!!!

You get the rope and I'll hang the son-of-a-gun! You bring two and I'll string up old man winter right next to him!
Ok, I'm not that violent.
My favorite couplet:
I'll move to the equator
and burn to death instead.

My favorite stanza was the last, that was unexpected and funny.
While I'm at it, I'm not all that pleased with Autumn, bring a third rope!
I'm glad you entered the contest, I enjoyed reading your poem, thanks!
