Those silver bells, sweet silver bells
Hear them ringing through the city
Hear them chime with hymn and rhyme
Heralding in Christmas day
But here I am, more shell than man
Begging in the streets
The passerbys just hide there eyes
They have no time for me
The snow soon swells this icy hell
No silver bells for the likes of me
Those silver bells, sweet silver bells
Hear them ringing through the city
Hear them chime with hymn and rhyme
Heralding in Christmas day
The streets adorned on Christmas morn
In reds and golds and greens
While in the streets, these city streets
No silver bells are to be seen
The snow that falls when Santa calls
He won't be calling on me
Those silver bells, sweet silver bells
Hear them ringing through the city
Hear them chime with hymn and rhyme
Heralding in Christmas day
