I won't Be Home For Christmas

I won't be home for Christmas
I am so far away from home
Forget the snow and mistletoe
I'm far away and so alone

I'll be spending Christmas Eve
In this cell of four by three
Now you know
I won't be home for Christmas
Except maybe in my dreams

I won't be home for Christmas
I couldn't write to let you know
I am to ashamed to tell you so
Where I am so far from home

Guess I soon paid the price
I couldn't take my own advice
Forget the snow and mistletoe
I won't be home, I'm all alone
No, I won't be home at all for Christmas
