Reflection in a Pond

I would be her reflection in a pond
Smile when she smiles at me
Cry with her when she’s crying
Stare into her eyes
Listen to what’s on her mind
Exchange funny glances
Then laugh about it
Walk side by with her across the shore
From the sunrise until the sunset
Sit with her for hours on end
Even if we don’t say one word
Be there whenever she needs me

She can find me in the busy street puddles
Or the quiet river that roams in the forest
Sometimes the storm hides me from sight
