A wishful birthday

To exceed the sympathy of flowers and greeting cards
I curve around my thoughts, then scribe on my heart.

From the charming of the rising sun
to the sighing of the evening sunset;
I wish you peace, love and happiness,
for living is an affection which only its
beholder understands of her sensuality.

As your life approaches yet another milestone;
know that all flowers bloom with elegance,
think not about how quickly you've aged;
instead, manifest within your heart's essence,
and all of your wishes will burst forth fragrance.

In endless circle of wishes, let there be harmony
for in your magnificence, all insignificance pale.
As the agony of life resides in those without friends;
know in me you have a friend who will always care,
and since today is your birthday, dear, I wish you well.

As I drift into pleasant ville to make you laugh;
I mind not turning myself into a joker or a fool,
as long as my corny lines reach through your soul
and graciously bless your cheeks with a white smile.
So dear friend, may you flourish against all odds.

Perhaps now, you are going through the presents;
invisibly, I send you a basket of flowers of your liking,
a candle and a hug for each year that you've lived,
and a succulent cake that presages the sweetness
of the years to come, may they be very sweet.

Please tell me what you think

    Extremely romantic.
    A stunning piece that can only be written from a true poetic heart.
    The sentiment was drawn on so articulately that I think it would be impossible to surpass.
    Done in the fine tradition of undying love and friendship.
    A Masterpiece.
    I am honored that you took time to read my work.
    Such a fine writer placing a comment is valued ten fold.

    Peace,
    Lowell Poe
