As if the time of earth stood still,
we close the world’s edge
An experience unequaled,
an entire lifetime do I dredge
A wisp of clouds stroll on by,
surrounded by a copper sky
Against the blue-green rolling seas,
so pleasing to the eye
Aboard our windswept vessel,
we slice the waters to and fro
We set our course to follow the sun,
we ride the ebb and flow
A lofty destination to lands end,
the ship shall sail
Voyaging into the great unknown,
where destiny prevails
Amidst the mighty cliffs we float,
“where eagles dare to fly”
With caverns vast cut in the scape,
to gorgeous to defy
The minutes pass so rapidly,
the scenery so surreal
A lifetime of enjoyment spent,
behind the sailing wheel

Thanks for following the rules!
Thank you also for this wonderful entry! I really enjoyed the last lines. The rhyme is great. This is an amazing take on the prompt. The first line is also wonderful: 'As if the time of earth stood still'... makes me think. Best wishes!
