First there was an ice storm on the 13th
cold and blustery outside
very dark inside but still warm
the power was out for 6 days
which was quite ridiculous
Why do I complain though?
I have a generator at my house
Full restoration came back six days ago
I was bouncing off the wall with joy
like a kid who just opened a toy they wanted
on Christmas Day
State of Emergency
schools closed for a week
my sister is going stir crazy
Then this weekend it's been snowing since
Friday
small crystal flakes coat the ground
we'll have 10 inches by the time it's all done
I don't look to foward to shoveling
but sledding down the hill in my backyard
is always fun
Snow is only good for long
I'm usually sick of it by mid February
two years ago
I was discontented that there still snow on the ground
in April
but hey at least it'll be a white Christmas
just like the once is used to know

It sucks that you had to suffer through that storm. No power in the beginning of winter... must have been horrible.
Did you use option 1 or 2?
I think for the last sentence, you meant "Like the ones I used to know"... i think that's what the saying is
