Dusk closes today with a black curtain
Beer, whisky we can contain none
Sweet salver of silence:
A snail is hardly noticed as it climbs,
Its December!
The scattered pieces of a golden dish
Bond together under the chandelier
Over the dining table are
Like blood through my veins and arteries
Flowing through my heart.
Whistling winter winds blow
Seeds to my nursery bed
To blossom into this charming tree,
One tiny seed stems branches of surprise
Like diamond stars of the skies:
My open palm of many fingers.
