You are gone;
no wind, sails faded.
I am still,
unmoving.
You walked;
every step stomped
on my heart, enraged.
I am losing.
Love her, hold her;
who cares about
your daughter.
We are left
behind.
The water;
rippling now.
The waves are gone.
I'm alone,
stuck in time.
You once loved;
the sun shined
on us...
together.
How could you;
How could I have known
our love could not
weather.

Haunting
Your words speak of pain I knew intimately, more than I'd like to remember, pain such as that is a lingering pain. Time does indead heal, but scars are them remnants we carry like badges.
