A New River In The Making -Gold

Missing image

I am a river, spent;
driven forward through time,
knowing rub and scrub of life
to each side of me,
gathering what bits and pieces
fit my slow scroll.

I am known by meadow and sudden drops
into a roil and boil of being real.

I have been pushed, led, into an awareness
of ocean that gratefully swallows
all my miscues and mistaken identities.

I am made One again; tumbled,
rumbled against stones to release my grit,
given comfort by amniotic swell and surge,
fed a brand new future,
and promised another run.

Author notes

prompt: As the sun slowly begins to set on another year
We find ourselves reminiscing over the past months
What we have achieved, what we have missed.

What I would like in poetic form, are your thoughts on the year past.

    A perfect start...

Now this is what I am looking for, style, class writing and poetic positive thought.
To look ahead and accept all the downfalls, but still have the guts to get up and roll again. Run for it and who knows. Well done indeed, Thank you for entering.
