Then the Merry Fiddlers Came

Missing image

 Written to the melody of this Violin with Orchestra piece,

lead violin (using 'fiddle' techniques) played by Random Goldfish

0:04

Time is carried to us, in a dream…

0:14

time, so passing, brooding fathoms, melodramas, weary stage…

0:30

embers glow, in fires, so spent, in eyes…

in these eyes, in these dreams…

in these dreams, in these eyes…

0:50

empty hands,

wintry snows, veiled dreams…

veiled dreams…

1:02

Memories flicker through a windowed scene;

through a windowed scene…

fading scene…

1:15

eyes alone, sunsets red, leaves of gold

leaves of gold…

for you, leaves of silver, gold

for you, fallen

for you…

1:37

for you, for you, for you, for you,

they’re coming for you, for you, for you…

1:41

Dance with the fiddle, the fiddle is dancing,

the fiddle, the fiddle is dancing this way;

dance with the fiddle, the fiddle is dancing,

the fiddle, the fiddler are coming this way.

1:50

Dance with the fiddle, the jays, the crows,

dance to the sunrise, the moon in tow;

dance on the lane to your love’s front step

and the fiddler and fiddle will marry you yet!

2:00

Dance with the fiddles, the fiddlers are dancing,

the fiddles, the fiddlers are dancing your way;

dance, for the fiddlers, the fiddlers are making

your fantasies, romances blossom today;

2:08

Dancing with fiddlers through moors and mountain glades,

dancing with fiddlers through mossy-stoned streams;

dancing with fiddlers through dreams and odysseys,

better with two, and four’s better than three!

2:18

scree, scree…

2:20

Said the tree to the forest, “There’s a love that needs our shade”;

said the shade to the sunlight, “You must come and shine today”;

said the frog to the lily, “Come and bring your sweet bouquet,

in the morning love returns, we must be there, don't be late!”

2:29

Said the seeds to the flowers, “Sail our magic through the air”;

said the fox to the sparrow,  Journey with me if you dare”;

said the lake to the mountain, “We must work together, where

lovers blossom, and the lovers may find each other here

2:38

Then the clouds and the raindrops played a soothing melody,

then the pools and the meadows swayed and shimmered, dazzling;

then the winds in the wetlands blew ambrosia far and wide,

tremulous rainbows adding color to the bluing sky.

2:47

As they came, two young lovers did not see each other pine,

as they came, two young lovers did not see each other cry;

as they came, two young lovers finally heard each other sigh,

echoing through the shaded forest, gliding low and high.

2:56

As they stayed, they heard fiddlers playing deep into the night,

as they stayed, they heard fiddlers playing to the sweet moonlight;

as they stayed, they heard fiddlers dancing, closer as they eyed

two young lovers inching closer with their hearts alight!

3:05

and they danced, as the fiddlers split the air with sonic glee,

and they danced, as the fiddlers played in striking harmony;

and they danced, as the fiddles danced and played their overtones-

lingering on each note to reach the depths within the soul.

3:15

So, in love, two young lovers found true love amid the streams,

so, in love, two young lovers found true love in meadows green;

so, in love, two young lovers found true love by bubbling brook,

in enchanted dreams, they traded true and loving looks;

3:24

So, for them, dervish dancers danced until the daylight, free;

so, for them, merry fiddlers came with festive imagery;

so, for them, tiny creatures sat upon their laps and strayed

singing songs of love and romance as the fiddlers played;

3:33

On this day, two young lovers followed soaring melodies,

on this day, two young lovers became married by decree;

on this day, two young lovers found their love the truest game

dancing in the shadows of the fiddlers as they played!

3:42

Dancing in the shadows as the merry fiddlers played

in the forest, dancing, loving, as the merry fiddlers played!
