Joyeux Noël

Ave Marie
How do you watch
So patiently silent
As she falls to her knees
With both arms stretched to the heavens
And a death grip on a set of beads

Can't you hear her
She's screaming your name
Ave Marie
It is all she can manage
Before the words die out
Will no one comfort her

Ave Marie
Where did you go
Why would you abandon us
Like a disobedient child
Left to stand in the corner
Hurt and confusion is all that we know

How much blood can we pay
Before you'll see us
How many will cry out for you
In nothing but vain
Before the chaos is to great to bear
Good mother intervene

They say the darkest hour comes
Before the dawn
But where is the dawn
Ave Marie
Help her to let go

I think it would be easier to read if you put in punctuation. Anyways, it's such a sad poem, overflowing with emotion.

Wow, this was a powerful piece! I really liked it. (If I weren't so tired I would perhaps leave a more meaningful comment) But the flow was just right and I wouldn't change a thing!
