7th

            ~7th~

A bloody red moon was one of its signs,
with the mark of the beast between their eyes.
We've been warned for over two thousand years,
so it should come to you as no surprise.
We've come to your city to evacuate,
we have no time to validate.
The mirrors against the sky
will come tumbling down.
The sea shall rise
and you will surely drown.
Pull the tape from your eyes
and open them wide,
don't let the cold evil streets step inside.
Remove your rusty shackles,
here are the keys.
Leave no clues, nor mysteries.
A fantastic force
which you cannot resist,
remove the last shackle
from your wrist.
City sewers take their
last breath,
spewing silhouetted fear
and choking to death.
Pierced through the heart,
the city heaves.
A child is born,
an angel leaves.
Back to the streets paved with gold,
A free man's bought, a slave is sold.
Mirrors crumbling, reflective pain,
twisted metal, falls like rain...
all around you you can see
the drowning of Miss Liberty.
They gave an inch, we took a mile,
as water covers her rusty smile.
Freedom rang in her final peal,
the torch then fizzled, the seventh seal.

Hmmm. I felt a definite deja vue, reading this poem. I enjoyed the image of Liberty being swamped by rising oceans, again, and the link to the Seventh Seal.
