I know I’m not second best

I’ll put the blade in my hand
You’re in my blood, you’re in my skin
You’re where I begin, you’re where I end
You can hurt me, I don’t mind
Love is pain, and when you shine
I know we could be ugly together
And be the most beautiful creatures
I’ll let your soul
Trace my features
We’re intricate and rotten
Pure, insecure
Suicidal, comfortable
Medicated, frustrated
Dealt hands of sorrow, smothered by rain
Two bodies folded, twisted in chains
Suffering is vivid, suffering is real
Suffering’s not a burden when we know what we feel
Open sores, festering wounds
Rose petals drawn over forgotten tombs
All we are and all we never will be
We’ll go out so romantically
Like flickering lights, the fading sun
Like burnt out stars that jumped the gun
Your love like a tourniquet
Hindering my seeping soul
To a steady drip drip in the mouths of gods
And I, a gentle blood stained blanket
Warm against My vampire, My love
Alone you consume me
Alone I bleed for thee
Together we die and breathe
Our immortal souls reaching to the very ends of the earth
Chilling the darkest pits of Hell
And awakening a Heaven all our own
For there is no God for us
But I for you
And you for me.
