Thy love doth wilt like pressed roses
Strewn beneath yellowing pages of parchment
And I, intent on passionate discourse,
Did surely take to thee by candlelight and flame,
Igniting alabaster skin with steadfast love.
O for thou love to burn as a wick!
Ambrosial orbs dance upon the wind
And, still, reaching upward for God,
Thou blush in ripened colours of crimson.
Love turn’d round in green-eyed haste
To shake the very boughs of perdition,
And the tempest’s fruit did fall down;
Lo, as Adam did unto Eve, I gazed upon thee
And was not ashamed of what I saw.

Wonderful job. I rarely like off takes on Shakespeare, but I enjoyed it. It flowed really well, and the imagery is very...realistic *LoLz*

Perchance, or Penchant, doesn't matter, both would have worked. There is much a godly aspect in this piece, and lovely at that. To gaze upion thee, is adoringly by far as it is near, and therefore chooses all, 'love' scenarios. ,

three thumbs up!
From pseudohaiku to Edmund Spenser! You are very adaptable, Anessen!
I have some quiet baroque music in the background here and this fits in cery nicely!
