The Brothels

I. – Buenos Aires

Those glimmered words emitted
So heavy
Besot with volcanic desperation.

They fell ever settled –
Children once mistook
Raging ideals for idle hearts
And petty games of dice.

II. – Cairo

I fought the light that callous night
When you held my heartbeat thirty rooms away.

These walls spanned a mile;
I grieved on Egyptian cotton;
I tied you to my feet and sank to the depths of the Nile.
The crocodiles offered their famous smiles;
I satiated their home with what dripped from my lashes,

And you were thirsty,
And I filled your cup.
