Forcing back the hands of time,
You’re facing an unwritten rhyme.
You hate yourself for all you’ve done,
Free spoken lies become the fun.
You’ve won my heart and share my soul.
The cost of love will pay the toll.
Too short to ride,
Too young to drive.
Rebellious sighs,
We’ll come alive.
Take my hand my one true love,
Lead me home, no push or shove.
Forcing back your hanging bangs,
Look in your eyes and feel your pain.
I hate myself for all I said,
My battle scars are crimson red.
The blood is seeping down my arm,
I swear to you, I meant no harm.
I wake to find myself alone,
Scared to death, a broken bone.
Screaming,
Crying,
Lashing out.
With help from me,
You come about.
I bend down slow to kiss your lips.
Your hand in mine, a candle lit.
Forcing back the darkened dreams,
You search for me, I hear your scream.
Love is lost, oh do you say?
I know you better, come this way.
A gorgeous lad has slumbered here,
Not for love, but out of fear.
He led her down the darkened hall,
Her flowing gown, meant for the ball.
Trickster,
Schemer,
Lover not!
She knows that now,
Words not forgot.
How could she trust this man so true,
Loving no one, only you.
I broke your heart again, again.
I slash these wrists, the war’s began.
What do you think?
