When your throat murders every unfinished nightmare
And the lack of breath breaks your thoughts of dreams;
When the last beat you can remember reminds you that you're alive
And gravity informs you of your backwash defeat,
While desperately digging through unpromising surfaces
For the pages that were ripped from your existence...
While the smoke corrodes the pigments of the ocean view
And the cars reveal the truth of the mountains' mirage;
While the final hours of the morning waste away your taught hopes
And your stomach tells you of your foolish moments,
When curling over a painful platue of memory isn't good enough
Beneath the thickest fumes of something you used to know...
Try to relax, though it's warmer under ice.
Roll once, twice...
Under the judgement of malicious dice, it'd be nice to know escape
While swiping for an empty hand in the storm.
Try to relax, though it's cooler in the fire.
Climb faster, higher...
Under the condemnation of your tire, it's dire to seek retribution
After the heartless destruction of a child's defense of purity.
When the paper representation of the universe turns to stone
And the liquid depiction of your world crystalizes at last;
When the wandering ashes of ghosts come to rest at your feet
And crimson echoes of yesterday's tragedy speak with clarity,
While you struggle with remains of bruised emotional capacity
Underneath a blinding blanket of mental stabilization and sedation...
Angry walls begin to still and famished stars recede.
You'll forget of such delemma and roam through clueless anxiety
To be reunited with the beginning lapse of the same cruelty.
Upon a fresh morrow of opportune potential, you will renew your search for closure.
When a clear sky turns black with sorrow and anguish
And an infantile root of meaningless spirit grows ripe with answers
Beneath the pressure of corrupted rain...
Stretch your eager will with an open hand and black out.

Holy wow. This is fantastic. "Please, sir, I want some more."

yet another brilliant piece... I am amazed that your work has not gained more of a following, it's wonderfully profound, but still easy to read and understand... the fourth stanza, in particular, is my favorite, but the imagery throughout was excellent, and so vibrant. then the end just hits you (forgive my cliche) like a ton of bricks. Wonderfully done!

The build up was incredible, but just as in "The Scarlet Pimpernel" the cavalry arived too late.
Just when you finally begin to figure it all out your sensory capacity overloads and out you go.
Good stuff man,

Your observational skills are impressive. I wasn't sure if that message was clear enough to be understood, but that's exactly how it goes, in my case. I'm sure I'm not alone. It takes digging so deep into the mind just to find the state of mind to be able to comprehend the fractions of answers to certain puzzles within the soul. Such a depth is unfamiliar and overwhelming to the brain.
