St. J oan of Arc :
The Messanger of God
W. Peter Sanci
Well good day my friends, I hope you are all well and good today,
For I have a real interesting story to tell you, it
Is a tale of a young girl , who after having done the impossible for her King and country , was thrown to the English dogs to be burned at the
stake as a heritic.
This is a sad sad tale my friends, indeed, the faith of a young maid, sorely tested by God and man, ends up burned at the stake meant for heretics and sinners.
Well, the answer is quite simple, she was betrayed by the very King she helped to install.
He sold her into the hands of the English who branded her a witch and a heretic and had her
burned at the stake in the middle of the town square.
My heart goes out to Joan as she was a poor country girl who could neither read or write.
She was tricked by all those learned men of God.
I really have a deep affection for this young St.
She is now my favorite patron.
So there you have it my friends, albeit a simple version, the life of one who dedicated her self to
carrying out God’s mission, who ended up as one
being disowned by the very man who she put on the throne of France.
