Notice Me

What does it feel like to walk into a room?
And he doesn’t notice you,
But you feel him breathing on your skin
Chills crawl on your spine
Like ants breaking free from your body
It’s nighttime
He’s on your mind and you can’t let go
You fall asleep, your pillow wet
It’s one am
Your body’s shaking
Hold him tight
But your arms come down empty.
It’s time
You walk away
You learn to fly
You see the guy

What does it feel like to walk into a room?
And she doesn’t notice you,
But you feel her breathing on your skin
Chills crawl on your spine
Like ants breaking free from your body
It’s nighttime
She’s on your mind and you can’t let go
You fall asleep, your pillow wet
It’s one am
Your body’s shaking
Hold her tight
But your arms come down empty.
It’s time
You walk away
You learn to fly
You see the girl.
