O’ moon you are no friend of mine
You bring me sadness when you shine
Gleaming down on lovers, many
Don’t you know I haven’t any
I am alone and so your glow
Brings to mind what I let go
With your incandescent beam
Shattering my every dream
Lovers wander hand in hand
Beneath the glory of your land
You shine to show the fox its lair
And other creatures need your glare
There is beauty in your light
But also never ending night
So go away o’ moon, you haunt me
Let me alone; please do not taunt me

I like the rhyming of it.
I can feel the sadness and despair of having to suffer with the moon around and the feeling that it brings on.
I think that in stanza 3, line 3, it should be [its] not [it's]
thanks for the entry -
Stella...indeed the moon's little sisters are jealous!

I like this, especially how there's beauty but also never ending night. Well done; maybe you can find a moon contest for this to get more appreication in.
