as a child
we played house
our innocence's
untouched
childhood dreams
spun with rainbows
and sprinkled with fairy dust
naively we believed
as we saw
through youths eyes
then one-day
time ran out
you stopped playing
and i stopped believing

Those last two lines are really heartfelt and an apropriate end to your well composed poem. A simple and yet defining fact about growing up

Oh this is such a sad and bittersweet piece. It's so sad that children have to grow up into such a jaded world. A deep and intense take on the picture. Excellent.
Best wishes in the contest.
