missing you

Tonight without your arms around me,
I miss you.
I hear your voice,
like a whisper in the wind.
When your gone,
I feel the ghost of you,
with arms wrapped around me,
and my body hungers for the warmth of yours.
I long to be in your arms again,
whether were apart mere moments,
or what feels like a life time.
This room feels empty without you,
this heart feels lost without you.
No tender caring words compare to love spent apart.
I can't wait for your touch,
I long for it,
I crave it.
I can't wait for the more gentle moments,
when you kiss me before you fall into a deep slumber.
When in the middle of the night we drift apart,
and you wake up,
only to pull me close again.
And then there's the mornings,
waking up to look into your eyes,
knowing the day ahead may not be perfect but you'll still love me in the end.
So when I miss you,
like I do tonight,
I think of these memories,
to keep my heart at bay,
because I'll be loving you,
and missing you.
