s/he.

--she was the rose who dared to grow between the cracks in my concrete
heart. she defied nature and thus defied me.
when i rejected all love because by its nature it could only
destroy me, she was
too stubborn to let me go and brave enough to persist me. she loved me and i saw sunlight for the first time in years,
all in her crooked smile. through her warmth, i found my own heat.
through her love i lived centuries; the spaces between her fingers were
the only places i belonged and when i collapsed with the age of my sufferings
her lips brought me back to life. love
was no longer the battleground of teeth and late nights i thought it to be.
it did not fill boxes to gather dust; it filled the pieces of our bodies we pressed together
to connect-- through it we were one
entity. in my darkest hours, those moments of strange hesitation, she said
"let it be" and the world bloomed inside me
with those words. they said so much more that i couldn't
nor would i want to explain. magic exists as is,
no explanation, just faith. there's no science to it and
if you've never felt it, you wouldn't understand. love
is the same way. but, for her, i was willing
to try, regardless.
dear kaleidoscope eyes, the words of lao-tzu read something like
"being loved by someone gives you strength; loving someone gives you courage"
and loving you gave me the courage
to love you,
no holds barred.

Author notes

through you, i am infinite
again.

    hmm...

i have to say, this is really cunning
i loved the underlying "this is it and i dont care if you get it" tone, ive never read something so carefully as i took the time to really let your words sink in
very nice work..i will indeed be back to read more

it's like someone loves us so much we actually take a few bricks out of that wall we've built and let them peek inside of our hearts and souls. I love it! Reminds me of my bf! He has taught me to love all over again

    just one typo i caught.
"...worl bloomed inside me." worl should have a d.

besides that, i love this! probably one of your best writes! the end seems a bit cut off, but i like it like that.
i am so glad that you are happy!!
