Life's not easy.
Life's not fair.
Life's full of hate and mixed up love.
Life's not fun.
Life's not a world of unicorns and fairies.
Life's not this,
Life's not that.
Has anyone ever taken the time to say-
Life's a liar???
Liar you scream when you get all excited,
And the winner is your enemy.
Who you hate so much.
Life's a liar.
That's all I can say.
So take hold of the good times,
By the throat,
Never let them go.
Because soon you will say,
I hate life.
But when you look back,
You will see how badly a liar life really is.
Some may say
Oh yeah life's real easy.
They obviously haven't lived mine.

The poem is awesome! What made you write it, though....When I was 12, I had a lot of pain & anger in my life too (OK, I still have them!), but it's so hard to imagine another 12 year old having so much pain & anger. I'm glad you didn't know me when I was 12 - I would've been a bad influence. I sincerely hope you are able to give it all to God & let go of all of it, so it doesn't turn into bitterness - that's even harder to get rid of, once you have it. Ask me how I know. My advice? Stick to God's side like you're superglued there for the rest of your life. That's a life you'll never regret. I wish I had done it - I'm trying, slowly but surely.

Quite a dark poem. Life really isn't all that bad. We just need to open our hearts to it. Looking at the title for this contest, I'm inclined to believe you don't really mean what you're saying here. Of course I could be wrong. Anyway thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.
