Tell me a lie covered in lace and frills.
Tell me a lie that will keep the darkness away.
Tell me a lie that will keep me happy.
I'll know its a lie but it'll just have to do,
Cause the truth is too brutal to just make do.
Tell me a lie of make-believe.
Tell me a lie of fantasy.
I'll hope that when I've had enough of reality,
Fantasy will be there waiting for me.
I'll hope the good guys stay good,
And the bad guys stay bad.
I'll hope with all my heart that as life goes on,
It gets so much easier.

We all hope that things stay simple and nothing ever goes bad.Sadly it does and we just have to make do.
