Forever Hidden

One day I hope you understand
This pain you’ve put me through
But I don’t for see that happening
Because you can’t see the truth

How can you be so blind
Not see what matters most
I feel like my heart’s been trampled
On the side of injustice you boast

I will never understand this path
The one you chose to take
But I guess I should get over it
For my own heart’s sake

This game to me is over
You’re not going to win
I am going to make it through
And you won’t be let in

Unseen scars are hidden down deep
Yet I know they'll always be there
Some days I wish I could believe
That you actually care

very good poem, i like the resemblance between the characters and the explanation of emotion. we always want the ones furthest from us to care. but when they dont, is when we seem hurt the most. great job.

I'm not sure what to say. How can a poem so sad, so painful and so emotional be called Beautiful??
But it is because you have taken control of both the situation and yourself and are in the process of putting it behind you.

Extremely powerful and well penned, I loved it!!

    You poured your heart out.

Sounds like you are at the end of your rope. I hope this is not real life. It is a tale of hurt you have wrote. Very good. Check in the last stanza, 2nd line, missing the word "be" Make a contraction out of "they will"..."they'll always be there".

I have to be honest with you. I lost my memory not long ago and heard many things about a love that I had. With every story I heard I became more confused. Now I read this poem and I have to ask myself. "Which side am I on? Which one was I?" The not knowing of this seems quite painful to my heart. I wonder but will not know. Now that the personal stuff is out of the way. This poem was very well written. The last 4 lines "Unseen scars are hidden down deep, Yet I know they will always be there, Some days I wish I could believe, That you actually care" really tied the whole thing together and brought it to a close.
