I'm begging you for Mercy

There was a young lady called Mercy
Who lived with a fellow called Percy
They sailed to Aeaea
Without any fear
And were changed into piggies by Circe

What did you think

Nice one, Keith. You have a definite flair for limericks and this one scans perfectly. The only slight criticism would be that the concluding line is not quite comical enough--it needs to be punchier.

    Good luck,
    Bill

You're right, Bill, the ending lacks force. I've managed to find another rhyme for Mercy and have altered the verse to a more classical form. It's still no' awfy funny, but you can't have everything.

    Superb plus

This almost seems like a limerick. It is very well written, indeed. Thanks for sharing this one with us.

    No nothing sweet about her

Poor wee Percy. He probably didn't actually drown. More likely choked on a supermarket trolley Love your lines. xx debs xx
