Struggling like violent waves,
I seek to find a peaceful shore
for in life, we all have a path,
and what we choose,
can make or mar who we become.
Consciously; yet numb,
out of sheer depression, lethargy grips me.
The sanity of a parched heart snafus my spirit;
thus; I remain calm, in this chasm of time,
I bridge the gap by berating the stranger in me.
In every aspect, from the sight of a child
to the sigh of a dying breath,
life's ever so flowing fountain
runs through us all with passion.
By rebuking these foul thoughts,
redolent fragrance filters through my soul.
As I begin to mend those broken pieces,
I smell the freshness of spring.

I loved this poem!
The reality of your first stanza is searing. The burn from such a flame is cleansing. A very captivating truth is written within these lines. And you say you cannot write with the skiill and passion that I use to write with. BULLSHIT! This is some mad poetry Mack. You know you're one of the best so trash the modesty. I wish you well in this challenge.
Much Love ♥
