The Poets Cross.

You hung yourself from the poets cross
and now you walk away ?
Just consider for a moment
maybe you should stay.

“ My poems stink ". To quote you
well mine do just the same
but do you think I care
should I hang my head in shame.

Of course I wont, I'm here to stay
whatever others say
I write them cos’ I love it
there's little more to say.

A poet I will never be
I know that to be true
but I stay here writing verses
if I can why can’t you ?
