Toys r us(ed)

Discarded,
Unloved,
Unwanted.

Deserted and left on the shelf,
Feelings of anguish, of pain and remorse!
What have I done to myself?

Hopeful,
repentant,
resplendent?

Defiant of hatred and pity
Feelings of hate receding in light,
he still thinks that maybe I'm pretty!

Paralysed,
Stagnant,
unfeeling,

Rejection of true sense of fate
numbing acceptance of life’s cruel hand dealt,
prepared to just sit,  and to wait!

I was immediately caught by the title as well. The lay out of the poem is wonderful. It pulled me through from the first word without ever disappointing.

    Many thanks for the entry.

Killer title to start with before I've even read it! Oh and you didn't disappoint with the poem either. That title really tells me what the piece is about.
I like the feel of the emotion in this.

    Best wishes in the contest.
