There once lay the road less traveled by
Footprints shallow among the crevices
Formed between puddles of lost souls
Buried beneath the atmosphere of gray.
See before me nothing but danger,
Almost guilty danger, a game of chicken
With an invisible train.
The road aches, moans under the autumn piles of broken hearts.
It bleeds suffering beneath the watch of the moon.
Not a safe path, not is it impassible.
Simply one chosen by few, its pitfalls hidden
Amongst the effluvium of the past.
