What's the point?

wake up,  they say
wake up!
but there isn't waking up
this is my calling
my realization
it’s not me,
it's you that needs to see the truth

I’m right here
So deeply depressing
Over stupid mundane things
Little ideals I thought would stick true

How does one get from here to there?
a boy
an issue,
that which was supposed to be done
a fear
a vulnerability, held in one’s heart
just ready to be pushed away

try to find a way to the end
but not really
just a means to some ends
ways to fill the empty
p    i

dispersed along the edge of a soul

Some souls find an invisible friend
Others hit it up
But me
I lay low
And attempt

Such failed attempts never got me very far
Just that same journeyed path
Up
And
D
      O
                W
                                N
And spin around
And repeat
Its own little cycle of resume or regret

The same question resonating  in silence
The echo in a cave
The lack of sight in the dark

I loved this! I loved the layout, and the imagery. You really managed to pull your point across. Great Job!!!

    Gold

    Ha.
I didn't know it was you. It makes sense now.
I liked the messae of the poem, its directness and the playfulness of the layout.

I was going to highlight my favourite parts but I like the whole..I like the stubborn independence of the stance ...and the look that a whole bunch of people manage not to be on their own.

    This is so good

How it poses the questions...how you seek for meaning

and know that your soul requires it

and see through your ways to find meaning.
It ends pessimistically suggesting the same loop
...yet i sense that all of this searching and looking for meaning is fulfilling in itself...making the whole thing a contradiction.
    Great stuff...
