Dear heaven

1
So give me a sign,
dear Heaven,
you want me to believe.
Give me something I can
hold onto,
kiss, love, have
as my own.
Give me a sign,
Heaven,
that you have Jason's hand,
that you reject Andrew
and you hold Myrtle.
Give me a sign.

2
What are you playing at,
dear Heaven?
I ask for a sign,
and you take Arron away?
Are you trying to
push me?
Do you want me gone?
What are you
playing
at?

3
Worse and worse,
dear Heaven,
but you've given me Michael now.
Is he an angel in disguise?
I want him in my arms,
heaven,
not so far away.
This proves nothing,
dear Heaven,
only that someone can
and does
love me,
and wants me
worse and worse.

4
You want me to choose,
dear Heaven?
Sending me a choice?
Is this a sign
or am I crazy?
You want me to choose?

5
Now I see,
dear Heaven,
I'm surrounded by them.
Angels, and God's grace.
They hold me, have me,
love me, lead me,
hope for tomorrow
and warmth of the past
the gift of today,
the present that lasts.
They love me,
dear Heaven,
now I see.

6
Thank you,
dear Heaven,
thank you.

Author notes

I do not believe in god, but that does not hinder my outreach in views when it comes to my poetry.
