How I love you so.
You provide me with sustenance
to go on through my long tiresome days.
A quick bite
when trudging through the cold desolate winter.
My cracker,
so round and dainty,
glistening with salt,
golden brown exterior.
I long to consume your flesh,
crunchy, but oh so soft, so buttery.
My tongue caresses the dimples on your chest.
The ridges on your edges beckon to me,
like a lighthouse to a lost sailor.
My cracker.
I think I found love.
(or at least a snack)
Author notes
hahahahahaha.
i chose option 1---
to write a really meaningful poem...
about something unimportant.
So I wrote a love poem...
to my cracker.
that I just ate.
yummm
(its a Ritz by the way)

Love this, it really made me laugh. It reminds me of the wonder bra poem, try to find it if you have not read it. this is a unique and yet still stunning masterpiece. I love then ending half,
"My tongue caresses the dimples on your chest.
The ridges on your edges beckon to me,
like a lighthouse to a lost sailor."
Most unusually romantic and it makes me hungry!

Tee-hee! I loved this poem. It was like my 'Bolero of Passion' poem. (You should read it, I think you'll like it...no, I know you'll like it!) This was an excellent entry, and I think you will do wonderfully in my contest!

I HATE RITZ!
And everything remotely associated with cheese crackers.
Yet this poem is awesome! It rocks! So meaningful, so full of emotion....about a cracker!
Great work here... And I love the last two lines...
I think I found love
(Or at least a snack)
And I love that you wrote with the language of love...
My tongue caresses the dimples on your chest.
I long to consume your flesh.
Oooh, Masterpiece! -
