Through Little Robin's Eyes

This morning I woke up to my mama's
Beautiful smile & her soft voice
Saying, "Good morning!"
We love to play in the sun's first rays of day.

Now, as I see those beautiful, majestic animals
(are they horses?) running far away,
I see Father Sun winding all his
Children down, getting them ready for bed,

When the moon will tuck them in
And keep her silvery watch over them.
The sun's yellowy orange light is mixed
With all it touches in the final moments of the day.

The other kids toddle to their mamas
Just to hear their soft voices
Just to see their radiant smiles
And once again play in the morning's first rays.

I am the first to be back in Mama's arms.

    A well written poem!
when reading the poem this line stood out the most and compelled me to reread this line over and over for the words just grabbed hold of my heart and refused to let go.
"when the moon will tuck them in
and keep her silvery watch over them.".
Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest.
    Best wishes in life.
    Peace in light and love

I thank you ever so kindly for those touching words. Glad to know my poem is rereadable! You know that's the ultimate goal of all my poetry - to grab you & never let go. Ok, I'm kidding! But really, thanks again for the comment.

      All the same to you,
