Her Veneer

She lies,
she always lies.

Look close,
you can see it
in her eyes.

Just living there,
around the iris,

her words
corrupt ...
The perfect virus.

Picking holes
in the truth,
leaving scabs,

that heal ...

A veneer,
she wishes
was real.

She lies, she always lies.

  • powerfull and painfull. i can tell that this girl who is the "liar" has caused pain into your life. and this poem has done a great job in showing what a liar looks like. perfect illistratio

  • The first thing that came to my mind after I read this was, "Holy !@#%, that was powerful!"

...and I can relate to this so well. It was really a beautifully-heartbreaking piece, and I definitely loved it. You know...I think I'll favorite you because of this.
