Unlike the Christmasses of my childhood in Ohio,
when I could go outside and play in the snow.
Building a lop-sided snowman or playing with my sled.
I I even remember my jacket. .
it was red.
Winters in Tennessee are different;
the streets are bare.
the warm weather, won't let snow stay.
No snowy fun can people share.
No sledding, or snowmen.
It just isn't right.
Why I can't have winter memories in Tennessee,
that I can hold as tight.
Please tell me what you think

Well...
It is a touching picture, even if it contradicts the weather-charts we see for N America. I thought the rhyming a bit forced, especially 'share', but liked the last two lines.

I know exactly what you mean! I grew up in Toledo, and I am now in Tennessee.
Great write Peggi!

Thanks for sharing!
Best wishes in the contest and always!

This is sort of sad, the displaced northerner. Doesn't Tennessee offer its own flavor of Christmas? Merry Christmas, Tennessee

Perhaps this year you will have snow, I hear it is pretty cold there now. Nice little Christmas lament for the cold and snow.
