Sky-Painted Literature

1. I am the misplaced bolt of lightning from a black cloud in broad daylight on a nice day
2. that rains on the textbook that lies boldly open with ink characters sprawled across the page in gibberish.
3.  The scent of rain stinges the raw air, while the wind rushes past, whipping at your cheeks on a damp morning.
4. Wool is warm and blocks out the noise, and sounds like a baby crying.
5. Gabe in L.A. grabs attention in his little stroller, eyes shut, mouth wide open, bawling.
6. But no, the scent of rain, it fills your lungs, and you gasp at the air like a fish out of water. Parang tao'ng may hika, na gustong gusto ang ulan. [Like a person with asthma who really likes the rain.]
7. Then you choke, gag, and decide to stay inside...you can't  breathe.
Suns come out before the rain, like a zillion of them.

15. Someday, books will become alive, words will jump off pages, and surround your head. Lines of silver text will fly around you in swirls of adjectives, and you will see them.
