Monochromatic transformations have arisen
from lover’s deadly eyes
calloused enough to burn any figuration
created by some illusionist’s thought.
Fragments of cold manipulation
produced by nature’s hands
sun-kissed these pink cheeks
and sedated all internal anger waged.
I watched the so many rivers that streaked frozen,
still, in your remarkable core.
I was overjoyed with your arrival this year,
but relentlessly not overjoyed enough.
Warm embraces were converted to sharp cuts
Winds blew stronger cutting path through my pain.
I love how it beholds so many reasons, so many illusions;
Simile stories are shared in brief silences.
We marched, hand in hand, comparing sad tragedies
With unwritten dramas and uncensored fairy tales.
Words waltz in our eyes, and I rejoiced, truly rejoiced;
To have found warmth in a cold winter night.
Author notes
XXVampireeyesXX
I tried my best to express the comfort and the agony of winter... I love winter when it comes to seasons but the cold, it kills me
...
I hope you liked it... I was out of muse and well I tried my best !

I think you did a good job expressing what winter means to you. I drove through a snowstorm on the way home tonight. I like most things about winter, including the cold.
Great job.
