newspaper

urine-scented rhapsody,
with a newspaper tent
and the remnants of a
carboard cutout home,
he stands above the
layman shouting for the
freedom of thought and
the conspiracy of print

she matches his tone,
dressed in cat fur and
mosquito-bites, dooms
the crowd to the end-times,
cackling at their sins

and both are ignored

This is a very itnriguing write and an interesting take on the prompt. Very open to interpretation and the readers own imagination drives what is going on in the piece and can be re-read giving the reader yet another idea about what the piece means.

Good write and congrats on silver.

    No problem.

    Lyric Prompt No.3 is:

    “We chase misprinted lies
We face the path of time
    And yet I fight
    And yet I fight
    This battle all alone
    No one to cry to
No place to call home” - from 'Nutshell' by Alice In Chains

    Many thanks.
