Catholic Schoolgirls

Catholic schoolgirls cross themselves
Enter the church, faced with ghosts of the parish
Ultimatum before them, make money or perish
Crying into the holy water
So sorry for their sins
But so unable to make it right again
Cry to the Father and cry to Our Lady
Another cold night, seeking sanctuary
Then holding the Rosary tight
Exit the church, out for the night
Another long night
Searching for the right
But right seems to steer clear of them
Maybe they've just been looking in all the wrong places
No different story, there's no different faces
But times are so hard and they really need this money
So out once again to make a mockery
Of everything sacred and everything holy
Mocking conjugal love and intimacy
