A clock ticks slowly and accurately,
Driving a boy crazy as he rushes to finish a test.
This is the day that his destiny will be decided.
A fate whispers.
One goth sits in class drumming her fingers,
rolling her eyes at the lesson of the day.
She's waiting for the class to end so she can go home.
A fate whispers.
A football player injures his leg in a play,
everything stops and time ceases just for him.
A scouter shakes his head and walks away.
A fate whispers.
A girl sits writing,
ignoring everything and everyone around her.
Hoping for a chance at a better life.
A fate whispers.
It speaks but not loud as if at a rock concert,
but ever so slightly as if it was not meant to be heard.
No matter if you hear it or not, just rememeber
Fate whispers ever so silently.
