My life's been a series of rejections.
First on line never meant a thing
nor being on time nor good at rhymes--
they always pick the other guy instead.
I never ran in any elections.
I knew for certain I could never win
and my ego would be hurting
when they'd pick the other guy, not me.
But in love I am somebody's true romance.

    This is really sweet. I love the personal touch throughout and I think that many can relate to this piece as well. Very nicely done
