Remember when i said,
i was never meant to be happy,
well that's all changed now,
thanks to a little belief.
I went hysterical when i saw him and her,
i ran away from the hurt,
i was confused,
what should i do?
Then one day i told him how it hurt,
he hugged me and said sorry,
he told me he still loved me,
told me not to worry.
He held me that afternoon,
when everyone else had left,
then something happened in us both,
something neither one of us,
could understand.
Somehow our lips met,
and the kiss exploded in my mind,
all i wanted was for him to never let go,
to be close all the time.
I hadn't felt that way in so long,
that i breathed onto his shoulder,
trying to regain my balance,
and not let it show how much i felt.
We both looked at each other and smiled,
it had somehow made us both whole,
and i knew my world was different,
it had shifted course with my soul.
Finally i'd found the someone,
that the universe meant for me,
I just had never realized it,
oh how could this be?
now i have to leave her,
and be with my birthday wish,
the one guy i could always trust,
the one i fell in love with.
Now my heart is full to bursting,
instead of broken and empty,
and all because he kissed me,
all because he loved me.

it's great. who is the "her" you had to leave? do you mean he left her? did he leave her? great poem, but i wish i knew more! lol

the her was my girlfriend at the time. i didn't really feel that much with her, she was really more of a cushion for me. i still cared about her, just i wasn't IN love with her.
